Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work Evening, Loch Eilt, Inverness-Shire by William R. C. Watson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,316.30), 20% above the upper estimate. Other works by William R. C. Watson have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,153.11) in October 2008 for the work Sheep grazing by a loch.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Scottish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Evening, Loch Eilt, Inverness-Shire von William R. C. Watson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.316,30) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von William R. C. Watson haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.153,11) im Oktober 2008 für die Arbeit Sheep grazing by a loch beobachtet.
