Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by William Baziotes was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in February 2019. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,985.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Baziotes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Phantasm in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,332,500.00 (€ 1,119,936.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von William Baziotes wurde im Februar 2019 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.985,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Baziotes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Phantasm im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.332.500,00 (€ 1.119.936,12).
