A top price for William Baziotes
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Phantasm by William Baziotes. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,332,500.00 (€ 1,119,936.12). With this result, Phantasm is even the most expensive work of art by William Baziotes that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Phantasm von William Baziotes zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.332.500,00 (€ 1.119.936,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Phantasm sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von William Baziotes, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
