Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wang Jin could be acquired at Sothebys in London in July 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work 50 Dollars changed hands for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,961.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dream Of China in April 2007 with an auction result of HKD 1,920,000.00 (€ 179,771.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Jin konnte im Juli 2015 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit 50 Dollars für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.961,82) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dream Of China im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.920.000,00 (€ 179.771,60).
