This artwork by Wang Jin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Fighting The Flood - Red Flag Canal sold for HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,405.03) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dream Of China in April 2007 with an auction result of HKD 1,920,000.00 (€ 179,771.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Jin erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Fighting The Flood - Red Flag Canal für HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.405,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dream Of China im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.920.000,00 (€ 179.771,60).
