Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Image Gratuite by Wang Du. The price achieved of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 28,072.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Du have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No Comment in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 197,397.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Image Gratuite von Wang Du zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 28.072,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Du auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No Comment im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 197.397,94).
