Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Image Gratitude by Wang Du for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,575.59). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Du achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No Comment in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 197,397.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Image Gratitude von Wang Du für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.575,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Du erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No Comment im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 197.397,94).
