In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included this untitled work by Wang Du. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 375,000.00 (€ 35,554.17), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Wang Du have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No Comment in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 197,397.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wang Du zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 35.554,17) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Du auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No Comment im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 197.397,94).
