In September 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work The Massacre of the Innocents, After Raphael (Bartsch XII 8(34)) by Ugo da Carpi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,140.00 (€ 898.56), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ugo da Carpi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Der Tod des Ananias. in April 2016 with an auction result of EUR 3,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im September 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Massacre of the Innocents, After Raphael (Bartsch XII 8(34)) von Ugo da Carpi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.140,00 (€ 898,56) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ugo da Carpi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Der Tod des Ananias. im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.750,00.
