It achieved a price of USD 6,300.00 (€ 6,341.86), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tracey Moffatt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Something More in August 2004 with an auction result of AUD 227,050.00 (€ 131,779.57).

Die Arbeit Scarred For Life von Tracey Moffatt wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.300,00 (€ 6.341,86) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tracey Moffatt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Something More im August 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 227.050,00 (€ 131.779,57).
