Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Invocations No. 5 by Tracey Moffatt was auctioned at Christies in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,212.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tracey Moffatt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Something More in August 2004 with an auction result of AUD 227,050.00 (€ 131,779.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Invocations No. 5 von Tracey Moffatt kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.212,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tracey Moffatt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Something More im August 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 227.050,00 (€ 131.779,57).
