Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Tomokazu Matsuyama was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. The price achieved of USD 35,280.00 (€ 31,171.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tomokazu Matsuyama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Something Came Together in April last year with an auction result of HKD 5,040,000.00 (€ 609,372.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tomokazu Matsuyama kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.280,00 (€ 31.171,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tomokazu Matsuyama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Something Came Together im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.040.000,00 (€ 609.372,69).
