Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong, which included the work Jaded Sunshine by Tomokazu Matsuyama. It changed hands for a price of HKD 35,280.00 (€ 4,061.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tomokazu Matsuyama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Something Came Together in April last year with an auction result of HKD 5,040,000.00 (€ 609,372.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jaded Sunshine von Tomokazu Matsuyama zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 35.280,00 (€ 4.061,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tomokazu Matsuyama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Something Came Together im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.040.000,00 (€ 609.372,69).
