Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Free Money by Tom Otterness was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,579.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Otterness achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Large Bear in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,512,500.00 (€ 1,335,776.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Free Money von Tom Otterness kam im Mai 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 67.579,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Otterness erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Large Bear im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.512.500,00 (€ 1.335.776,74).
