Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thomas Grünfeld could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Misfit (Cow) changed hands for USD 34,000.00 (€ 21,839.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas Grünfeld - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Misfit (Cow), which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 31,070.00 (€ 44,649.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thomas Grünfeld konnte im April 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Misfit (Cow) für USD 34.000,00 (€ 21.839,67) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas Grünfeld mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Misfit (Cow) beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für GBP 31.070,00 (€ 44.649,28) versteigert wurde.
