Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work The Author Of Mishap (Them) by Steven Claydon for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,644.06). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Steven Claydon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Omar (Emergent), which sold at auction in October 2013 for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,684.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Author Of Mishap (Them) von Steven Claydon für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.644,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Steven Claydon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Omar (Emergent) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.684,86) versteigert wurde.
