Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Great Bear by Simon Patterson was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in February 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 22,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,077.55). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simon Patterson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Great Bear, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,983.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Great Bear von Simon Patterson wurde im Februar 2020 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 22.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 22.500,00 (€ 26.077,55) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Simon Patterson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Great Bear beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.983,67) versteigert wurde.
