Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2020 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Rodrigo Borgia, Lucrezia Borgia, Cesare Borgia by Simon Patterson. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,346.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Patterson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Great Bear in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,983.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2020 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rodrigo Borgia, Lucrezia Borgia, Cesare Borgia von Simon Patterson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.346,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Patterson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Great Bear im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.983,67).
