Sold at the lower estimate price
In February 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's 100, which included the work Fragment from I Quattro Formagii II by Simon Patterson. The result of USD 1,000.00 (€ 907.03) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Patterson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Great Bear in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,983.67).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's 100 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fragment from I Quattro Formagii II von Simon Patterson zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 907,03) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Patterson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Great Bear im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.983,67).
