Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rhodes Reason by Simon Patterson was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,106.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Patterson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Great Bear in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,983.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rhodes Reason von Simon Patterson kam im Juni 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.106,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Patterson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Great Bear im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 56.983,67).
