Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Boy With Mao by Shi Xinning. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 40,439.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shi Xinning have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mao And Mccarthy in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 372,000.00 (€ 278,151.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boy With Mao von Shi Xinning zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 40.439,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shi Xinning auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mao And Mccarthy im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 372.000,00 (€ 278.151,64).
