Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Elusive Realities #1 by Shahzia Sikander was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in New York in May 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,799.93). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shahzia Sikander achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Veil 'N Trail in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 325,000.00 (€ 208,761.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Elusive Realities #1 von Shahzia Sikander wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.799,93) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shahzia Sikander erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Veil 'N Trail im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 325.000,00 (€ 208.761,56).
