The work Fingerstamp by Sergei Volkov was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. It achieved a price of USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,327.29), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sergei Volkov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paintings in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 108,663.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Fingerstamp von Sergei Volkov wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.327,29) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sergei Volkov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paintings im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 108.663,16).
