Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sergei Volkov could be acquired at Phillips in London in April 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRIC auction, the work Bouey changed hands for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,484.87) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sergei Volkov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paintings in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 108,663.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sergei Volkov konnte im April 2011 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion BRIC wechselte die Arbeit Bouey für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.484,87) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sergei Volkov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paintings im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 108.663,16).
