In June 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Untitled (No.4) by Sergei Volkov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,883.29), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sergei Volkov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paintings in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 108,663.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (No.4) von Sergei Volkov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 6.883,29) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sergei Volkov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paintings im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 108.663,16).
