This artwork by Sergei Volkov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2017. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work without title sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,189.36) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sergei Volkov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paintings in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 108,663.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sergei Volkov erzielte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.189,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sergei Volkov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paintings im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 108.663,16).
