Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled from Signs (Music) series by Sergei Volkov was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in October 2010. It changed hands for a price of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,853.97) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sergei Volkov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paintings in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 108,663.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled from Signs (Music) series von Sergei Volkov wurde im Oktober 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.853,97) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sergei Volkov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paintings im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 108.663,16).
