Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, No. 4 by Sergei Volkov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,215.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sergei Volkov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paintings in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 108,663.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, No. 4 von Sergei Volkov kam im November 2014 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.215,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sergei Volkov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paintings im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 108.663,16).
