Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Fag Show by Sarah Lucas was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in January 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,424.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sarah Lucas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bunny Gets Snookered #8 in May this year with an auction result of USD 736,600.00 (€ 691,383.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Fag Show von Sarah Lucas wurde im Januar 2021 in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.260,00 (€ 1.424,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sarah Lucas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bunny Gets Snookered #8 im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 736.600,00 (€ 691.383,52).
