Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woman in a Tub by Sarah Lucas was sold in the Art Contemporain Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in Paris in June last year. The price achieved of EUR 176,400.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sarah Lucas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bunny Gets Snookered #8, which sold at auction in May this year for USD 736,600.00 (€ 691,383.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Woman in a Tub von Sarah Lucas wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Art Contemporain Evening Auction bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 176.400,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sarah Lucas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bunny Gets Snookered #8 beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für USD 736.600,00 (€ 691.383,52) versteigert wurde.
