Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Setting off; On the scent; Over the hedge; and The kill by Rudolf Stone was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 6,416.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rudolf Stone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The meet; Over the fence; In full cry; and The kill, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,630.94).
