Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Setting off; On the scent; Over the hedge; and The kill by Rudolf Stone was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 6,416.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rudolf Stone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The meet; Over the fence; In full cry; and The kill, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,630.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Setting off; On the scent; Over the hedge; and The kill von Rudolf Stone kam im Juni 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.465,00 (€ 6.416,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Stone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The meet; Over the fence; In full cry; and The kill beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 8.812,50 (€ 13.630,94) versteigert wurde.
