Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work The Meet; Setting Off; In Full Gallop; A Coach In Their Pathh; And The Kill by Rudolf Stone. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,224.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rudolf Stone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The meet; Over the fence; In full cry; and The kill, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,630.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Meet; Setting Off; In Full Gallop; A Coach In Their Pathh; And The Kill von Rudolf Stone zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.224,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Stone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The meet; Over the fence; In full cry; and The kill beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 8.812,50 (€ 13.630,94) versteigert wurde.
