Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Rudolf Stone could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Sporting Art and Dogs auction, the work Moving off; and On the scent; and one other changed hands for GBP 1,912.00 (€ 2,845.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rudolf Stone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The meet; Over the fence; In full cry; and The kill in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,630.94).
