Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The meet; Setting off; Over the fence; The kill by Rudolf Stone was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,937.50 (€ 4,216.82). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rudolf Stone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The meet; Over the fence; In full cry; and The kill, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,630.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The meet; Setting off; Over the fence; The kill von Rudolf Stone im November 2003 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.937,50 (€ 4.216,82) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Stone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The meet; Over the fence; In full cry; and The kill beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 8.812,50 (€ 13.630,94) versteigert wurde.
