Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work The outhouse by Roy Petley. The price achieved of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,054.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Roy Petley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Beach At Dueville in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The outhouse von Roy Petley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 720,00 (€ 1.054,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roy Petley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Beach At Dueville im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52).
