Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work A perfect end to the day by Roy Petley. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,568.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Roy Petley have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2006 the work The Beach At Dueville was auctioned for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A perfect end to the day von Roy Petley zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.568,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Roy Petley konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2006 die Arbeit The Beach At Dueville für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52) versteigert.
