Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Passing Storm, Sherringham by Roy Petley. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,274.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Roy Petley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Beach At Dueville in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Passing Storm, Sherringham von Roy Petley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.274,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Roy Petley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Beach At Dueville im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52).
