Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Wilson could be acquired at Phillips in New York in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Great Day in the Morning #15; #16; and #22 changed hands for USD 630.00 (€ 634.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Wilson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Civil War Act I, II, III, IV, V, 72 works in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 43,409.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Wilson konnte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wechselte die Arbeit Great Day in the Morning #15; #16; and #22 für USD 630,00 (€ 634,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Wilson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Civil War Act I, II, III, IV, V, 72 works im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 43.409,48).
