Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California Part II Online, which included the work Parsifal Act II, 1991 by Robert Wilson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,216.00 (€ 1,148.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Wilson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Civil War Act I, II, III, IV, V, 72 works in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 43,409.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California Part II Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Parsifal Act II, 1991 von Robert Wilson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.216,00 (€ 1.148,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Wilson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Civil War Act I, II, III, IV, V, 72 works im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 43.409,48).
