This artwork by Robert Wilson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in June last year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Sans Titre sold for EUR 14,432.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Wilson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Civil War Act I, II, III, IV, V, 72 works, which sold at auction in October 2012 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 43,409.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Wilson erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Sans Titre für EUR 14.432,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Wilson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Civil War Act I, II, III, IV, V, 72 works beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 43.409,48) versteigert wurde.
