In the 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session auction, the work No title (black cloud) sold for USD 35,280.00 (€ 28,847.10) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Therrien - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work No Title, which sold at auction in November 2000 for USD 64,625.00 (€ 74,332.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Therrien erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session wurde die Arbeit No title (black cloud) für USD 35.280,00 (€ 28.847,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Therrien mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit No Title beobachtet, die im November 2000 für USD 64.625,00 (€ 74.332,87) versteigert wurde.
