Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Untitled (Hangman) by Robert Therrien. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,024.00 (€ 968.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Therrien achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No Title in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 64,625.00 (€ 74,332.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Hangman) von Robert Therrien zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.024,00 (€ 968,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Therrien erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No Title im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 64.625,00 (€ 74.332,87).
