Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Robert Gober was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,397.00 (€ 1,321.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Gober achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 7,287,500.00 (€ 6,244,644.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Robert Gober kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.397,00 (€ 1.321,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Gober erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.287.500,00 (€ 6.244.644,39).
