A top price for Robert Gober - as previously expected
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included this untitled work by Robert Gober. The price achieved of USD 7,287,500.00 (€ 6,244,644.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000,000.00 – 8,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Robert Gober that we have observed at auctions so far.
