Signed, dated and numbered 17/40 in pencil at the lower sheet edge under the artist's mat (there were also 12 artist's proofs), published by Gemini G.E.L., Los Angeles, to benefit the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, contained in the original white mount and wooden double-sided frame specified by the artist.

In October this year Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Untitled (G. 1743) by Robert Gober. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,159.00 (€ 2,042.96), 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Gober achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 7,287,500.00 (€ 6,244,644.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (G. 1743) von Robert Gober zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.159,00 (€ 2.042,96) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Gober erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.287.500,00 (€ 6.244.644,39).
