Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Enzo Mari, Autoprojettazione, 1123 Xi/1123 Xq) by Rirkrit Tiravanija for USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,472.75). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Rirkrit Tiravanija have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (THE DAYS OF THIS SOCIETY IS NUMBERED) in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 98,280.00 (€ 83,692.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Enzo Mari, Autoprojettazione, 1123 Xi/1123 Xq) von Rirkrit Tiravanija für USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.472,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rirkrit Tiravanija auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (THE DAYS OF THIS SOCIETY IS NUMBERED) im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 98.280,00 (€ 83.692,41).
