Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Richmond Burton was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2018. It achieved a price of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,294.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richmond Burton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eyes In The Heat, which sold at auction in July 2019 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,846.36).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.294,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von Richmond Burton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eyes In The Heat beobachtet, die im Juli 2019 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.846,36) versteigert wurde.
