Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Richard Stankiewicz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2014. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 28,745.83) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Stankiewicz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Playful Bathers, which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 134,500.00 (€ 108,783.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Stankiewicz erzielte im März 2014 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 28.745,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Stankiewicz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Playful Bathers beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für USD 134.500,00 (€ 108.783,57) versteigert wurde.
