Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session, which included the work Seen and Not Seen by Richard Mosse. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,720.00 (€ 22,665.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Richard Mosse have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2019 the work Nowhere to Run (Infra series) was auctioned for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,447.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seen and Not Seen von Richard Mosse zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 22.665,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Richard Mosse konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2019 die Arbeit Nowhere to Run (Infra series) für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.447,75) versteigert.
