Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Photographies, which included the work Men of Good Fortune, 2011 by Richard Mosse. The price achieved of EUR 17,640.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Mosse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nowhere to Run (Infra series), which sold at auction in May 2019 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,447.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Photographies durch, in der auch die Arbeit Men of Good Fortune, 2011 von Richard Mosse zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 17.640,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Mosse mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nowhere to Run (Infra series) beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.447,75) versteigert wurde.
